How well do you know God? When you begin a conversation with an Atheist, the first order of business is to discuss how one “knows” things, including knowledge itself, and the knowledge of God. Here, Peter Du Moulin works masterfully along these lines to teach you how to think about God correctly.

Peter Du Moulin (or Pierre) (1601-1684), was a Anglican divine, scholar and a zealous Calvinistic Minister with strong Puritan leanings.

In this exceptionable and scholarly work that is written with a practical flair, Du Moulin covers the manner in which men come to a knowledge of God through special revelation. The doctrine of knowing God is the foundation of Christian theology and the prerequisite of all true faith. Du Moulin covers human reason, the image of God in man, the Essence of who God is and how to define him, the Need for a special revelation of God’s Word to us and how true knowledge is attained through scripture. He demonstrates that the knowing God through the Word of God is a study in God’s personal communications through the prophets and apostles, and set down for all-time in the written Word. While this work gives us information about knowledge concerning God and Christ with clarity and grace, it does much more: it aids us in actually knowing him, in building our relationship with him, and helps draw us closer to him in love and worship.
