Description
This download contains docx files, which are all public domain books which have been scanned in and turned into usable word files. These can be uploaded in other software programs that allow you to create your own personal book library for purposes of searching and research.
These are not scanned images. They are converted Word files. That means they are far from perfect. They have not been edited for typos of any kind. 80% of the scanned pages are excellent. Some are less so, and others may be very poor. That is due to the actual printed copy of the book these files were made from in its initial scan before OCR took place.
They have been updated in some basic formatting. Extra lines have been removed, paragraphs are not crowded, extra spaces in sentences have been removed, hyphenation has been removed, and such. I ran these files through a script in Word that I created which “cleaned them up” in this way.
These files represent a lot of extra hours of work, but uploading them into a program that allows you to search them all instantaneously is a huge blessing.
